Originally named the Centennial Olympic Stadium, this ballpark was the staging center for the 1996 Centennial Olympic Games held in Atlanta in 1996. The opening and closing ceremonies of the Olympics were also held at this huge venue. The 85,000-seat stadium was renamed Turner Field after Atlanta's own business mogul Ted Turner and is now the permanent home of the Atlanta Braves Baseball Team.
